Fujino Photo Project
During the event, collectively made onigiri from rice grown by Kawauchi-san in Shinobara neighbourhood, cooked root vegetable miso and shared home made pickles. While around the table, exchanged personal memories of rice, rice cooking methods, stories of rice paddies in Fujino postwar and rice growing as a form in protest and communal activity from 90’s to today.
This workshop involved two distinct phases.
First, participating families received disposable film cameras to document their daily lives over an undetermined period: a day, a week, or an hour.
Second stage was gathering as a group workshop at Hizure Community Centre.
The participants collectively overviewed at the images, followed by collage making from photo print outs.
